About our story
An Invitation to See
The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park has led many lives. Originally a Hilton property, this Art Deco high rise has remained one of the most prominent features in the El Paso skyline since it rose skyward in the 1930s.
Today, this historic hotel signifies the reinvigoration of a destination that celebrates diversity, artistry and community. Located in downtown El Paso’s vibrant arts district, called Las Plazas, The Plaza‘s rooftop allows for scenic views spanning the city and beyond the Texas border into Mexico and New Mexico.
Our guests are uniquely positioned to experience some of West Texas’s most impressive cultural highlights, including the El Paso Museum of Art, San Jacinto Plaza, the Plaza Theatre, the Judson F. Williams Convention Center, the Abraham Chavez Theatre and Southwest University Park.
And for nature lovers, Franklin Mountains State Park, the country’s largest urban park, is just fifteen minutes away. These rugged peaks cut right through El Paso, and offer miles of hiking and biking trails. Keep an eye out for mule deer, elusive mountain lions and golden eagles.
The hotel is just 20-minutes from El Paso International Airport (ELP) and 10 miles from Ciudad Juarez International Airport (CJS). For our guests driving into town, The Plaza is 10 blocks from the international bridge that connects El Paso to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Bring your passport and have an international experience, The Plaza is only eight blocks away from the border.
